Who we are

Wantscope is run by Media Yard LLC. Write to hello@wantscope.com with any question about your data, or to have it deleted.

If you join the list

We keep your email address so we can send you the Monday report once it starts, and nothing else about you. Every email will have a link to stop it. We never sell or share the list.

To stop floods of fake sign-ups, we count sign-ups from each network for a day. We store the network address only as a one-way hash, and delete it after two days.

The posts we count

Wantscope reads public posts on Hacker News and Bluesky that ask which product to buy. A post's text is sent to Cloudflare's AI model to score how likely the author is to buy, then deleted. We keep only the category, the time, the score and a link to the post. We never keep or show anyone's name or the post's text. If you want a post of yours left out, write to us with its link.

Who handles the data

The site, its database and the AI model all run on Cloudflare, Inc. (United States). Cloudflare sees visitors' network addresses to deliver the pages. We use no ads, no tracking and no analytics cookies.
